Skullbot

Hailing from Stanwood, Washington, Skullbot crafts sounds reminiscent of the state's musical output from ten years prior. Elements of rage and groove characteristic of grunge icons including Tad, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden's initial phase manifest clearly through the band's densely packed, robust guitar and bass tones. Established in 2004, the ensemble gained prominence primarily through organic recommendations and online social platforms. Such grassroots promotion resulted in their selection for a KEXP studio collection, serving as the sole Northwest representative. During the summer of 2006, they put out an independently distributed compact disc, and another project remains under development.
