Biography
Skweeg rose rapidly among leading acts in industrial music by mastering the rawest edges of industrial rock while folding in aggressive elements drawn from hard techno. The group formed in Dallas during the mid-1990s, uniting Derek James on bass and vocals, Steve Page on keyboards, and Mikkee on drums. A growing profile across Texas brought the band steady rotation on local stations, extending the reach of their intense material. Following the release of their debut self-titled album Skweeg, the trio played frequent live shows that heightened their visibility. Their second album Wattevr maintained this momentum, and the same proved true for the band’s third release, Sci-Fi Disk.
