Biography
Slick Sixty originated when three former pizza delivery workers joined forces as Nathan, M.J., and Richie. The trio secured a recording contract with Cup of Tea Records, Bristol’s downbeat imprint, which resulted in the 1997 release of their debut single “Hilary: Last of the Pool Sharks.” Widespread acclaim from British critics soon followed, prompting American distribution for the 1998 EP The Wrestler, whose remixes were contributed by Lionrock and Mad Professor. The full-length album Nibs and Nabs appeared the following year.
