Emerging from Brooklyn, the dub-hop outfit Slotek centered around Special Dark’s primary efforts, which drew in Brother J, Jadoo, and Scotty Hard. Its album LP 7 surfaced in 1997, with Hydrophonic arriving two years afterward.
