Biography
Slow Six, a classical crossover ensemble headquartered in New York City, operates under the leadership of composer and violinist Christopher Tignor. Their first album, Private Times in Public Places, came out through Western Vinyl on April 29, 2004, after which the group moved to the classical imprint New Albion to deliver their next project, Nor'easter, on July 31, 2007. By the arrival of their third album, Tomorrow Becomes You, once more issued by Western Vinyl, the band had become a quintet made up of Tignor together with Rob Collins on Fender Rhodes electric piano, Stephen Griesgraber on guitar, Ben Lively on violin, and Theo Metz on drums.
