Small Feet

Hailing from Stockholm, Small Feet shape an indie-rock sound steeped in folk-rock resonance. Singer-guitarist-songwriter Simon Stålhamre launched the project with a vocal approach that merges three-quarters Neil Young and one-quarter Gerry Beckley of America; he later joined forces with American bassist Jacob Snavely of Dag för Dag and recruited drummer Christopher Cantillo, whose work centers mainly on jazz, thereby completing the trio. Largely captured inside an 18th-century cabin on a Stockholm island, the band’s debut album—immediate yet hypnotic and contemplative—From Far Enough Away Everything Sounds Like the Ocean appeared on Seattle’s Barsuk Records in summer 2015. November 2016 brought the single “Liar Behind the Sun,” issued in advance of the digital-only EP Dreaming the Dream that surfaced the following December.
