Biography
In the early 2000s the modern rock outfit Small Mercies originated in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Initial demo recordings earned the group a management agreement with John Woodruff of Savage Garden, whose involvement later drew the attention of Sony BMG and resulted in a record deal. The band issued its first single, "Innocent," in 2006, with the full-length debut album Beautiful Hum slated to arrive the following year.
