Biography
Hailing from Orange County, the California punk-pop outfit Smile issued two EPs during the early 1990s before securing a contract with Atlantic in 1994 that yielded their first proper full-length album, Maquee. More EPs appeared afterward, leading to the 1998 release of their second album, Girl Crushes Boy. The band formally split in 2003 yet reconvened for several West Coast anniversary performances in 2013 and 2014.
