Biography
Formed as an atmospheric electronic pop trio, Snowpony assembled an alternative British supergroup of sorts whose membership included vocalist and keyboardist Katharine Gifford, previously of Stereolab and Moonshake, alongside Debbie Googe, the one-time bassist from My Bloody Valentine, and Max Corradi, once the drummer in Quickspace and Rollerskate Skinny. Several singles that signaled the band’s arrival surfaced in 1997, among them “Evil Way Down” and “Chocolate in the Sun.” The full-length Slow-Motion World of Snowpony appeared the following year.
