Biography
Emerging from Chicago, IL, during the mid-'90s, the group Snypaz brought together 2/4, Chilla, R-O-B, and Sic Wic. In 1995 the quartet put out an initial cassette titled Ridin' High, followed the next year by the six-track EP My Life as a Snypa, which moved 80,000 units. They subsequently moved to Houston, TX, where they contributed to Do or Die’s 1998 album Headz or Tailz; that connection also led to an appearance on Scarface’s 1998 release My Homies. After a period of relative quiet, Snypaz signed with Virgin Records and delivered their first major-label project, Livin' in the Scope, in 2001.
