Biography
Christian hip-hop duo Social Club Misfits, who originally performed simply as Social Club, emerged from Florida with expansive, Miami-infused production while balancing brash bravado against lyrics devoted to devout praise of the Lord. The pair, consisting of rappers F.E.R.N. and Marty Mar, came together in 2012 and issued their first project, the self-released album Misfits, before the year closed. A year later they delivered the EP The Rejects and followed it with their second full-length effort, Summer of George. Misfits 2 appeared in 2014, entering the Billboard 200 and reaching the tenth spot on the Rap Albums chart. Their next release, Us, arrived in 2015. The duo joined Capitol Christian Music Group in 2016 and adopted the expanded name Social Club Misfits at that time. Early the following year they issued The Misadventures of Fern & Marty, which climbed into the top four on both the Billboard Christian Albums and Rap Albums charts.
