Biography
Soft Circle channeled the dynamic, hands-on electronic manipulations pioneered by 1970s innovators such as Can, transplanting those impulses into the electro landscape of the 2000s and earning widespread acclaim for its captivating sonic explorations. Adding to the project’s appeal was its role as the primary outlet for noise rock veteran Hisham Bharoocha of Lightning Bolt and Black Dice. Bharoocha launched the endeavor in Brooklyn during the mid-2000s as a solo undertaking, issuing the well-received debut Full Bloom on Eastern Developments in 2006. Town and Country’s Ben Vida later came aboard as the second permanent member in 2009, appearing alongside Bharoocha on the 2010 album Shore Obsessed.
