Biography
Formed in Mexico during 1992, Latin rock group Sonios drew its chief inspiration from the British alternative scene. Throughout the 1990s the ensemble shared bills with prominent regional acts such as Café Tacuba, La Lupita, and Santa Sabina. Following the release of a self-titled EP centered on social and environmental concerns, the band laid down its debut album, 200 Fonios, in 1997; independent label Nimboestatic issued the record in April 1998. The group also placed its song "Kali." on the compilation Estrella de Fácil Retorno.
