Biography
Søren Løkke Juul, a Danish singer and songwriter who also performs as Indians, shapes an elusive brand of electronic indie pop that recalls Bon Iver, Efterklang, and Choir of Young Believers. Restrained yet intentionally wide-ranging, his work draws deeply on spectral synth textures and atmospheric layers. Months after signing with 4AD, Juul gave his first concert under the Indians name in 2012. The project’s haunting debut album, Somewhere Else, followed in 2013. In 2016 he issued This Moment, marking the first album released under his given name.
