Biography
Emerging from New York City in 1995, Speedball Baby assembled as a high-energy quartet blending rockabilly elements with art punk sensibilities. Their initial pair of EPs appeared on Matador, drawing interest from MCA Records. Disenchanted with the major-label environment, the group opted back for independent outlets and issued the 10-inch I'm Gonna Stomp Mr. Harry Lee. The year 2000 saw the arrival of Uptight, marking their second album.
