Biography
Spider and the Webs originated in Olympia, WA, amid the summer of 2004. Centered on Tobi Vail of Bikini Kill, Frumpies, and the Go! Team together with James Maeda from the Serum Greys, the psychedelic punk outfit brought in Chris Sutton of C.O.C.O., Dub Narcotic Sound System, and Nudity to round out its lineup. Vail delivered vocals and guitar while trading drum duties with Sutton, who covered bass; Maeda remained on guitar throughout. In October 2006 the trio issued its debut release, the four-song EP Frozen Roses.
