Biography
Originating from Grenada in the Caribbean, Spikey Vybz works as a singer and songwriter devoted to the varied traditions of soca, dancehall, reggae, and rap. He performs as part of the soca duo SXZ while issuing occasional solo material through the Kingzmen label, among them the 2021 single “Jab Anthem (Move)” and “Make You Mine” from 2022.
A musical household in Grenada supported his vocal development from childhood and backed his decision to follow a professional path in music. Drawing from the island’s calypso and dancehall roots alongside newer rap and pop influences, he joined forces in 2018 with singer and DJ Zahfary to establish the duo SXZ.
Solo output on Kingzmen began in 2020 with tracks such as “Just as Bad (J.A.B.)” and “Whine Pon It,” after which “Jab Anthem (Move),” “Leggo de Mas,” and “Make You Mine” appeared in subsequent releases.
