Biography
Spitvalves surfaced in Orlando, FL, as a punk outfit augmented by brass rather than a straightforward ska-revival act, and the group rapidly built a sizable audience. The seven-piece ensemble cut its first releases for Resurrection A.D. with the 2001 album Fine Print at the Bottom and maintained a relentless touring schedule that exceeded one hundred concerts annually while extending performances into Europe. Even after logging long distances on the road, the band retained a fiercely loyal local base throughout Central Florida. One standout demonstration came at Hard Rock Live Orlando, where Spitvalves drew a crowd large enough to surpass the venue’s 2,800-person limit and thereby establish a new attendance mark.
