Biography
Formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, during 2006, the death metal outfit Spun in Darkness was assembled by ex-Goatlord drummer Jeff Nardone, who also assumed lead vocal duties, together with guitarist Tom Giacalone and bassist Nick Otvos. That same year the trio tracked its first album, Birthright, which appeared on an independent label before gaining wider reach via a mid-2007 reissue on Battle Kommand Records, finally bringing its deliberate strain of old-school death metal to listeners in the underground metal community.
