Biography
Ramiro Jeancarlo of Miami, Florida, operates the minimal synth project Staccato du Mal while also performing in the industrial duo Opus Finis. Traces of that industrial foundation, together with black metal and facets of his half-Venezuelan, half-Chilean background, surface throughout the recordings he produces on vintage electronic equipment. After issuing the full-length Staccato du Mal in 2006 and the single L’Armee Des Ombres in 2007 on his own SDM imprint, Jeancarlo joined Wierd Records, which released the Desespero single in 2010 and followed it with Sin Destino early in 2011.
