Staggering Statistics

Rooted in the sonic palette of 1990s American indie rock, Staggering Statistics formed toward the end of 2002 after Afghan Whigs bassist and founding member John Curley began jamming with Austin Brown. The Texas native had already performed with dozens of bands nationwide before relocating to Cincinnati, OH. Following a succession of temporary drummers, Brown invited longtime friend and multi-instrumentalist Joe Klug to become the quartet’s permanent percussionist. Guitarist and keyboardist Sam Womelsdorf, another veteran of the local scene, joined the group in late 2005. Alongside two EPs, the four-piece issued the full-length All of This & More... via the local Shake-It label in June 2006.
