Biography
Sweden’s Standfast blend elements reminiscent of both Feist and the Cardigans in their sound. The duo consists of vocalist Suzanne Standfast alongside guitarist Patrick Tucker, who also goes by Patrick Standfast. EMI issued the band’s self-titled debut record in 2001, which included the track “Carcrashes.” That song saw distribution throughout 20 European nations, resulting in an extensive support tour spanning multiple years. Their follow-up effort, Beneath and Beyond, finally emerged in 2007 via the independent SideCho imprint operated by the group itself. Cheap Lullaby handled an American reissue of this album during 2009.
