Biography
Vocalist and songwriter Julie Daniels fronts Star 69, the mid-'90s alternative guitar-pop band she assembled after leaving her native Los Angeles for London. During 1996 the group put out two independent singles and appeared at Reading Festival, after which they secured a contract with Radioactive Records. By autumn the musicians had shifted operations back to Los Angeles to cut their debut album under producer Don Smith, whose prior credits included work with Cracker and John Hiatt. The finished record, Eating February, reached stores in the first months of 1997.
