Biography
Disenchanted by lengthy tracks stuffed with pointless percussion breaks, the Canadian group Vic Wayne (guitar/vocals), Steve Monteith (guitar/vocals), Robert Medic (bass), and Rene Lafleur (drums) formed Star Collector near the close of 1997. Favoring a leaner mod-inflected pop-and-roll sound, they issued their own debut single Skyscraper & Slowfade in 1998, then delivered the first album Demo Model 256 the following year. Their second album Flash-Arrows & the Money Shot appeared in 2003, and Hundred-Bullet-Proof arrived three years later.
