State Of Grace

The Swedish synth pop/rock group State of Grace assembled in 2008, built around the abilities of four childhood friends: Erik Ekblad, Hampus Johansson, Johan Nelén, and Erik Johansson. Their first onstage appearance occurred in 2010 when they supported enduring rock veterans Status Quo. That same year saw the release of the band’s initial full-length recording, Gospels in the Wine. In 2011 the quartet captured the Livekarusellen prize, Sweden’s prominent battle-of-the-bands contest, then set out on a productive regional tour that reached both Germany and Finland. State of Grace sustained live activity across 2012 and 2013, appearing with Soundtrack of Our Lives, Melody Club, and Brolle, before returning to the studio to finalize their second album, the Musichelp-released Universal Remedy, which surfaced in 2014.
