Biography
Following the composition, production, and road work tied to Read Music/Speak Spanish, instrumentalist Denver Dalley stepped away from Desaparecidos to launch Statistics. The outfit Statistics generates a sharp, conceptual texture that merges post-rock/experimental leanings with indie rock. Dalley and Michael Sweeney tracked a self-titled EP for Jade Tree. That striking five-song collection surfaced in summer 2003. Several months afterward, Dalley joined the Good Life’s Tim Kasher to shape a full-length album. Working alongside Mike Mogis, A.J. Mogis, and Scott Martin, Statistics produced the dense sonic environment of Leave Your Name. The album reached listeners on Jade Tree in January 2004.
