Biography
In 1982 the German heavy metal group Steeltower assembled around vocalist Thomas Rettke, guitarists Ingo Millek and Bernd Kaufholz, bassist Manni Jordan, and drummer Thorsten Mueller. Over the following five years the lineup registered scant commercial traction, issuing only the 1984 album Night of the Dog before disbanding and thereby spawning the far more prosperous power metal band Heaven's Gate.
