Biography
Siblings Jason and Chad Turner serve as the creative core of Stepsonday, whose bright, guitar-driven pop tracks define the act. Raised in Santa Monica, California, the pair cultivated an early appreciation for albums by the Beatles, Nada Surf, and Death Cab for Cutie. Chad supplies the drumming while Jason moves between guitar and bass; the two launched their pop/rock duo and booked studio time for a self-funded debut recording. The finished Little Light LP drew notice from One Eleven Records founder Brad Fischetti, prompting the label to sign Stepsonday. A wider edition of Little Light was subsequently scheduled for release in March 2008.
