Biography
Steve Bach stands out as an accomplished keyboardist whose behind-the-scenes work in recent years has left him without the full measure of acclaim he merits. His musical path began at age four on the accordion, and thirteen years afterward he earned the New York State Jazz Accordion Award. By that point, however, he had shifted primarily to piano and completed a college degree with a focus in theory and composition. After relocating to the West Coast, he devoted two years to touring and performing alongside Stanley Clarke. He next launched a solo career that produced multiple albums on the Café and Soundwings labels. In 1987 he joined Kitaro on tour, and shortly thereafter he served as keyboardist for Flora Purim & Airto.
