Biography
During his undergraduate studies at Columbia University, Steve Hofstetter established himself as a favored sports columnist at The Columbia Daily Spectator. His wry humor first gained widespread appreciation through this role, prompting prominent publications like Maxim, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated for Kids to seek contributions from the emerging talent after recognizing its resonance among students. While performing standup comedy on the side, his local paper The Queens Tribune bestowed upon him the title "the thinking man's comic" in 2003. Over the subsequent years, Hofstetter maintained an active pace by serving as host for the Sirius satellite radio network's panel discussion program Four Quotas, sustaining a rigorous performance itinerary of more than 100 colleges and numerous clubs annually, and continuing in his capacity as head writer for collegehumor.com. In 2006, he released his initial comedy album, Cure for the Cable Guy, via the Razor & Tie label.
