Biography
After the Chicago-based Lupins disbanded, Stoley moved to New York and launched Stoley P.T.—short for Power Trio—as a solo endeavor. While employed as an actor on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, he devoted his spare hours to songwriting and local performances. At one such show, drummer Rob Draghi watched the set, then proposed a collaboration; Stoley accepted the offer, and the pair soon recruited bassist/producer Mark Turrigiano to round out the lineup. Following a series of East Coast dates, the trio tracked Lesson #1, after which Turrigiano departed to focus on production work. Bassist Janine Yoong joined next, and Stoley P.T. began pitching the finished album to labels before securing a deal with Portland, OR-based In Music We Trust, which issued Lesson #1 in 2006.
