Biography
Luke Brown, who plays guitar and sings, left his native Chattanooga, TN, for Nashville, where he began composing material and shaping a concept for the rock band he had long imagined—one that would take shape as Strange Celebrity. New Jersey drummer Rick Wilson joined forces with guitarist Quinton Gibson and bassist Tracy Ferrie to complete the lineup, prompting the group to start work on its first album alongside producer Dan Wilde of the Rembrandts. Remedy arrived in June 2003, showcasing radio-friendly rock whose lyrics often turned personal and uplifting. Though the band is never positioned as a CCM rock act, its members acknowledge their spiritual perspective and weave it gently into the music.
