Biography
Norwegian classic rock outfit Street Legal first coalesced during the closing years of the 1990s, guided by frontman Bjorn Boge, whose chief musical touchstones lay in the early-1980s sound of veteran 1970s acts such as Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake. Boge joined forces with guitarist Ken Ingwersen and drummer Bjorn Olav Bol Lauvdal to lay down the group’s opening release, Thunderdome, which appeared in 2000 and earned favorable notices from critics. Personal struggles and career obstacles soon sidelined the project, leaving it dormant for almost ten years. Boge and his brother Øystein, who handles percussion, eventually reassembled the lineup and painstakingly tracked a follow-up titled Bite the Bullet, enlisting session guitarists Tore Ostby (ex-Ark, Conception) and Rolf Bjorseth for the sessions before issuing the album via Frontiers Records in 2009.
