Striker

Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, the direct Canadian heavy metal outfit Striker unleashes a raw fusion of 1980s hard rock and classic NWOBHM that aligns them with peers such as Enforcer, Holy Grail, and Cauldron. The group formed in 2007, after which their demo drew interest from the German imprint Iron Kodex, resulting in the 2009 release of their initial EP, Road Warrior. Their first full-length album, Eyes in the Night, appeared in 2010, prompting extensive touring across Canada and internationally in the years that followed. Striker signed with Napalm Records in 2012 and issued their second album, Armed to the Teeth, under the guidance of producer Michael Wagener (Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Skid Row). The well-received City of Gold, again shaped by Frederik Nordstrom, surfaced in 2014 and triggered an intense touring cycle that included numerous festival appearances. Returning to collaboration with Frederik Nordstrom, the quartet put out their fourth studio album, the self-titled Striker, on their independent Record Breaking imprint in 2017.
