Biography
In 2004 the Erie, Pennsylvania hardcore unit Struck Down assembled around Gabriel Poland on vocals, Jameson Jenkins handling guitar and vocals, Josiah Poland on guitar, Adam Greenman on bass, and Raymond Horton on drums. Drawn from several other local acts, the musicians first convened as a casual side project and soon completed the two-song demo Erie Hardcore Go!. Once autumn gave way to winter the band increased its live activity after problems in the members’ other groups prompted departures and eventual dissolutions. With greater focus now directed at Struck Down, the musicians entered the studio in February 2005 to cut a full-length album. That July they signed with Indianola Records, and the resulting debut Revolution appeared in January 2006. The record delivered upbeat, traditional hardcore that edged toward straight-edge principles. School obligations prompted Greenman’s exit from the lineup the following February.
