Biography

Formed in New York City during 1989, the alternative metal group Subzero drew its core sound from hardcore punk thanks to ex-members of Breakdown and Upfront. The lineup featured vocalist Lu, guitarist Rich, bassist Larry, and drummer Jim. Century Media handled a 1997 reissue of the band’s first album, Happiness Without Peace. Subsequent deals with Stillborn Records produced Necropolis: City of the Damned in 2004 and The Suffering of Man the following year.
