Biography
Originating in Boston, Suntan coalesced after guitarist Nick Holdzkom first crossed paths with keyboardist Lindsay Arth at a North Carolina gathering. The pair relocated to Boston, where Arth later connected with guitarist Scott Endres inside a local pizza spot. By April 2001 the resulting trio had officially launched Suntan, and several months afterward drummer Dominic Mariano came aboard to complete the lineup. With the quartet now intact, the musicians immediately launched into sprawling epic jams and issued their debut recording, the Suntan EP, in 2002. Send You Home arrived the following spring, cementing the group’s reputation as a fresh Boston shoegaze act.
