Superstar

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Superstar deliver a fresh take on power-pop reminiscent of their longtime associates Teenage Fanclub, though the classical background of singer and guitarist Joe McAlinden introduces elements of strings along with occasional brass. In the beginning of 1992, McAlinden encountered Nellie Grant and Raymond Prior, after which the three started rehearsing together and captured an EP during that year's spring season. Their debut full-length release, Greatest Hits, Volume One, arrived later that summer.
