Biography
Chicago native Suzanne Palmer rose to prominence as a leading dance music vocalist through her partnership with producer Peter Rauhofer in New York, where she contributed lead vocals to his Club 69 project on the tracks "Much Better," "Alright," and "Twisted," plus a house rendition of Diana Ross' 1981 hit "Muscles" that appeared on the 1997 album Style. As the daughter of a jazz pianist, she launched her professional career at age 16, moving through gospel, soul, jazz, and contemporary R&B before exploring house and techno. After a European tour with the vocal group Victory Singers that included an award at an international pop festival in Poland and additional performances alongside various American acts, she launched her solo work. Palmer reunited with Peter Rauhofer in 2001 for a cover of the British duo Kosheen's jungle/drum'n'bass hit "I Hide U," which was followed by the single "Show Me" in 2002.
