Biography
Suzie Higgie served as lead vocalist and primary songwriter in the Australian band the Falling Joys, whose output encompassed multiple recordings—three of them full-length albums—across ten years. Once the group disbanded she relocated to England and issued her debut solo album, Songs of Habit, in 2001. Minimal production defines the record, whose electronic textures were largely created by Higgie alone. Her songs fuse understated jazz elements with airy singer/songwriter rock, performed under a veil of measured detachment.
