SW. (Stefan Wust) developed a dedicated following by issuing a run of minimally labeled 12" singles on Berlin’s cryptic SUED imprint, showcasing an eclectic mix of techno and house that moved from stripped-down club tools to more expansive pieces influenced by Detroit techno, broken beat, ambient house, and the mellower edges of jungle. As part of the experimental ambient outfit You Dee (subsequently spelled UD), Wust launched SUED alongside his regular partner Sven Rieger (SVN) in 2011. The label maintained a consistent output of 12"s from both founders as well as Dynamo Dreesen, Club No-No, and DJ Fett Burger. Although the majority of SW.’s own releases and individual tracks carried no titles, the Reminder trilogy appeared from 2013 through 2015, its opening installment featuring a remix by DJ Sotofett. SUED put out an untitled double LP by SW. in 2016; after receiving praise from Resident Advisor, the set received broader distribution via R&S sublabel Apollo in 2017 under the official name The Album.
