Biography
Swåp brings together British accordionist Karen Tweed and guitarist Ian Carr with Swedish fiddlers Carina Normansson and Ola Bäckstrom to form a four-piece folk group, the last of whom contributes no vocals. Their respective origins shape a seamless fusion of Celtic and Swedish traditions that lends the quartet’s self-titled 1998 debut its distinctive appeal. Sic appeared two years afterward.
