Switch is a worship collective drawn from various Life.Church campuses whose bright, keyboard-driven adult pop carries messages of praise. The project began as a way to supply inspirational music to students within the church’s ministry programs. Following early acclaim for the single “Symphony,” the collective issued its self-titled debut album in 2020. Two subsequent EPs were later compiled with additional tracks as Better View [Deluxe] in 2022, and an acoustic rendition of “Symphony” marked the song’s fifth anniversary in 2024.

Headquartered in Oklahoma, Life.Church formed through the 2001 merger of Life Covenant Church and MetroChurch, initially operating from two locations. The network had grown to fifteen campuses by 2015 and doubled that total around the time Switch released “We Won’t Be Different Alone” in 2018. The following year’s “Symphony,” which featured Dillon Chase and gained traction on Christian radio, earned the group Billboard’s number-one New Christian Artist designation for 2019. Under the leadership of Cassidy Estevez, Rob Estevez, Luke Guevera, and Ashten Wellman, the collective’s first album, Symphony, appeared on Dream Records in February 2020 and brought a Dove Award nomination for Best New Artist.

Capitalizing on the momentum from Symphony, Switch issued the EP Better View, Pt. 1 in September 2021. Pt. 2 arrived the next March, once again including Dillon Chase, and the two EPs were combined with bonus material later in 2022 under the title Better View [Deluxe]. Throughout 2023 the group offered alternate renditions of earlier songs, among them a Song Session version of the 2021 track “perfection” recorded with Elevation Worship. Early 2024 brought an acoustic treatment of “Symphony” on Dream Records, timed to the song’s five-year anniversary.
