Swoope

Swoope, the Christian rapper tied to the W.L.A.K. (We Live as Kings) collective, balances group commitments with an ongoing solo path. Born in Akron, Ohio, he launched his independent work through the Spring Fling EP in 2011 and followed it with the Boys R Us EP in 2012. That same year brought his first full-length project, Wake Up, issued via Collision Records. In 2013 he united with Alex Faith, Christon Gray, and Dre Murray to form W.L.A.K., whose self-titled album appeared later that year. Solo activity resumed in 2014 with the conceptual album Sinema. Four years afterward he delivered the full-length Sonshine, which included the singles "TSNK" and "Hall of Fame." The next year produced the Two for One EP, featuring appearances by Jaylon Ashaun and Natalie Lauren.
