Biography
A standout figure in the Los Angeles zydeco community, singer and accordionist T-Lou entered the world as Louis Joseph Eaglin in Grand Coteau, LA. Raised by sharecroppers, he picked up guitar on his own at 15 and went on to handle bass duties in a high school R&B group. Once he finished school he moved first to Houston and then on to California, where exposure to a Clifton Chenier show sparked his interest in zydeco; he quickly took up the accordion and assembled the Los Angeles Zydeco Band. Following the 1985 release of T-Lou & His Los Angeles Zydeco Band, he maintained a steady performance schedule up and down the West Coast until Super Hot appeared in 1993.
