Tameka Cottle—also called Tiny or Tameka Tiny Harris—entered the spotlight in the early 1990s as a founding member of the R&B act Xscape, the daughter and niece of two original Tams. Three platinum albums issued by the group across that decade set the stage for her joint work with bandmate Kandi Burruss on TLC’s 1999 chart-topper “No Scrubs,” which earned the pair a Grammy for Best R&B Song. Xscape remained inactive through the first years of the 2000s before eventually reforming without Burruss. Toward the close of the decade Cottle stepped into reality television, debuting on the BET series Tiny and Toya. She wed rapper T.I. in 2010 while continuing to shape music as the central force behind the OMG Girlz, the ensemble that included her daughter Zonnique. Tiny’s complete return to recording arrived in 2014 via the provocative single “What the F@#k You Gon Do,” issued on her Pretty Hustle label.
