Biography
Tanya Savory, who works in the folk-pop vein as both a singer and songwriter, first drew notice in 1994 when she captured top honors in the Emerging Songwriter Competition staged at that year’s Napa Valley Music Festival. Her 1996 triumph at the Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition cemented her standing as an artist worth following, prompting the arrival of her debut album, Better Shade of Green, twelve months afterward. Town to Town appeared in 1999.
