Biography
The trio behind Tarantula A.D. consists of Danny Bensi on cello, violin, piano, and vocals, Saunder Jurriaans on guitar and bass, and Gregory Rogove on drums. Classical arrangements meet punk and metal touches in the band’s output, yielding an indie rock approach that feels both hypnotic and prog-inflected. Their first release for Kemado, Book of Sand, surfaced in fall 2005. The following year brought a limited run of European concerts alongside Pearl Jam plus additional U.S. appearances during the summer months.
