Taylor Goyette has fused the coastal atmosphere of his Florida origins with a mischievous wit, most evident in "The Show Goes On," a biting satire of present-day society performed in the raucous manner of a carnival pitchman. Across a string of singles issued during the 2020s, this blend has highlighted his singular versatility.

After developing his abilities in Fort Myers, Florida, where songwriting began at age 14, Goyette relocated to Nashville in 2014. Impressing Trey Bruce led to a 2018 signing with Galore MGMT, though he later aligned with DAANEgerous Entertainment and placed his publishing with Kobalt.

"Dancin' by Herself" and "Rich Kids" appeared in 2019, followed by a wave of 2020 releases that opened with the bright "Mermaids and Pirates," confirming his beach-music credentials. The pattern continued in 2021 with "Jimmy Buffett," but wider notice arrived via a duet with fiancée Kelsey Lamb on the tender ballad "They Never Loved You."

The What You Were Saying EP surfaced in 2022 alongside the sunny "Piña in My Natty." In 2023 he earned notice as co-writer of the hit "Product Of" for Lee Brice and Lewis Brice, then prepared four new singles. Foremost among them was the headlong "The Show Goes On," which accumulated more than a million streams and cleared the path for "Hard Work" in early 2024.
