Biography
Born in Montreal and trained at Berklee, the highly adaptable guitarist Ted Quinlan works extensively as a session player. Since establishing residence in Toronto during the mid-1980s, he has earned recognition as a reliable collaborator, appearing alongside Chet Baker, Freddie Hubbard, Eddie Harris, Jimmy Smith, and Joey DeFransesco. In his own projects, Quinlan explores a spectrum of styles that extends from contemporary jazz evoking Pat Metheny to experimental free improvisation.
